DBAS is a non-profit organization with an all-volunteer staff.  Our retreat allows DeafBlind adults to get together, share their experiences, and discuss their educational and technological needs. This event provides an invaluable experience for the participants, and an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.

DBAS activities and workshops require the assistance of Support Service Providers (SSPs) who serve as sighted guides, communication facilitators, and interpreters. Even though our DeafBlind Guests pay their portion, we still need to raise an additional $20,000 to cover food and lodging expenses for the sixty SSPs who volunteer their time and expertise to make the Retreat possible.  There are numerous additional expenses such as transportation, speaker fees, special equipment for the attendees, etc.

We greatly appreciate your tax-deductible contribution.
